State League Season 2026

Positions Open for QNA STATE LEAGUE TEAMS:

QNA is seeking Coaches and Managers for the following 2026 season State League teams:

·       Under 17’s State League Team

·       Under 19’s State League Team

·       Division 1 and 2 State League teams

·       Mens State League Team

Closing dates for expressions of interest for athletes and team selection dates will be confirmed in the coming weeks. Coaches must be available to assist with trials as required.

Coaches and Managers must be available to train from February until the end of the State League season 2026.

Appointments will be made for the term of one State League season.

 Coaching requirements:

o   Have already obtained or obtain prior to attending relevant State League competition;

o    ‘Intermediate’ level coaching accreditation.

o   Coaches will be required to attend at least two education sessions throughout the season (online or in-person)

o   Must be available to assist Head Coach with athlete education sessions as requested

o   Must have demonstrated success in coaching and have a strong commitment to ongoing personal growth and reflection.

o   Must be able to demonstrate effective coaching communication strategies.

o   Must be able to apply the techniques of basic netball skills to create and progress appropriate skills sessions court strategy.

o   Must have a strong focus on the development of training sessions and game plans that focus on competitive player development.

o   Plan, attend and run all training sessions.

o   Must attend all Representative competitions and events as required, inclusive of team photos season launch and end of season functions etc.

o   NSW Working with Children Check.

 Manager requirements:

o   NSW Working with Children Check.

o   Have obtained a First Aid certificate prior to commencement of training.

o   Attend all training sessions.

o   Attend all Representative competitions and events as required, inclusive of team photos, fund raising events, season launch and end of season events etc.

o   Responsible for all administrative functions associated with successful team management.

o   Responsible for player invoicing and payment in collaboration with the Queanbeyan Netball Association Treasurer.

 Coaches and Managers are paid an honorarium at the end of the representative season to cover expenses associated with representative commitments.
